Sewing Project

Project leader: Hlengiwe Gumede

This year we train 30 people in 2019 so far. Last year (2018) we trained about 60 women in sewing skills. We also had our first big order for 100 CODAH DESIGN Bags. Currently, we can report that about 170 women have a job as a result of the skill training of the sewing project.

Goals

•    Our goal is to make more bags, shoes and design outfits so that we can buy big machines, that will enable us to buy fabrics and pay the people who were working in our Sewing Project.

•    We also in the next 3 years to get people training so that they can get jobs that our Sewing Project create a constant income. This training will also help us to become a government accredited training facility.

•    We want to develop more CODAH design clothes, bags and shoes and sell them in the country and other parts of Africa and beyond.

•    We envision that if this ministry will develop further and that we might need a bigger workspace /building after 3 years.
